National Milk Mustache “got milk?®” Campaign Celebrates 12th Annual World School Milk Day September 28, 2011
Washington, D.C. September 19, 2011: The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), creators of the National Milk Mustache “got milk?®” Campaign, invites you to join us in celebrating the 12th Annual World School Milk Day on September 28, 2011. World School Milk Day is an international, annual event that celebrates the importance of school milk in children's diets in over 40 countries, and is a way to focus on helping children make healthy beverage choices. The first World School Milk Day was celebrated in September, 2000 and has since become an annual event celebrated in many countries throughout the world and promoted actively by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
To mark the 12th anniversary, schools all over the world will be celebrating the importance of milk in schools. Here are just a few ways how you can get involved:
