"Kim Wilkerson Gets It!" That’s why she is the Meyer Dairy nominee for Spotlight On. The "Monfort's ‘Got Milk?’" elementary school program was kicked off on community night with a complimentary milk mustache photo for anyone buying milk. Milk 35 cents - Milk Mustache Free. Health, Mind and Body… Priceless! Meyer Dairy's Healthy Cow was on hand at the kickoff and danced with students and the Colerain Cardinal. Teachers and school staff got in on the act too, and were sporting milk mustaches in the school front hall showcase. Over 150 children purchased milk and had their pictures taken with milk mustaches! But, the fun really started the next Monday in school. All of the kids’ milk mustache photos were posted on the school walls, along with "got milk?" backpacks and CD cases donated by Meyer Dairy. When children purchased extra milk, they received a coupon to write their name on. At the end of the day, winners where chosen and collected their prize, right off the wall. The positive response from parents was tremendous. The children were excited and made good choices about their health. Since the contest ended, the children are still excited and buying more milk! "Monfort's Got Milk!"
The contest ran for two weeks in October 2006. Monfort Heights Elementary School sold an average of 99 extra milks every day!
This two-week program proved to be very successful. Although prizes are not being offered currently, school milk consumption is still increasing! How exciting!
