Beaver Vending has always had strong milk sales, particularly in business/industry locations, as well as in schools. The B & I machines feature both food and milk, and recently Beaver Vending began converting select locations from cartons to chugs. Chugs do particularly well in locations that have a younger customer base. The handy package and flavor selection make it popular with a younger crowd. Jim recommends evaluating the location prior to converting to chugs, as the pricing is higher than cartons, but with the ideal customer base, they will sell well!
Beaver Vending has been selling milk in schools for about the last 10 years. He integrates milk with juice and water in healthy beverage-type machines. Since sodas are not allowed in his school districts, it's a great opportunity to sell milk. Plus, they have a smooth operation for servicing accounts and there's no problems with waste.
Milk has been a profitable part of Beaver Vending's business since the company was started. Plus, innovative vending machines and the variety of flavors available have made selling milk much easier.
"Milk has always done well for us," says Jim. "I'm sure it will continue to be a profitable part of our business plan for the future."
