Denny Marsh has worked with more than 1,000 athletes during his seven years in the fitness industry. As owner of Advanced Fitness Solutions, Denny sets very specific guidelines for the athletes he trains. He is a consultant to many high school coaches in Ottawa, Ohio - and works with male and female student athletes in several sports, including varsity football, track & field, and basketball.
"A big part of my training program is nutrition," he says. "If my athletes aren't eating right they are wasting their time. It's mandatory for my athletes to drink 32-36 ounces of chocolate milk every day. Right now, I have 120 clients doing this and I've seen results with every single one." He reports that kids love its taste and effectiveness, and that parents appreciate it too, as they know it's a nutritious beverage.
Denny also practices what he preaches. As a serious weightlifter, he learned of the recovery benefits in chocolate milk, and hasn't touched a single supplement or other recovery beverage since.
"Too many coaches reach for water and Gatorade - if they only knew that chocolate milk provided the same results with tons of added benefits. I'm confident the word is starting to get out there and more and more athletes will start to drink chocolate milk after a workout."
