Lila Swaney, knows it's important to get and keep students excited about drinking milk! For the last three years, she has been inspired by the posters received by the "got milk?" campaign, and created her own student posters that line the Galena School's entry hallway. She gets the students involved in taking pictures and actually creating the posters. And, they've come up with clever names for each year's program, such as "Our Stars Drink Milk" - which highlighted the school's football players; "Milk - the Drink of Champions," that starred several student athletes, and most recently, "Shoot for Strong Bones" - which featured the basketball team. Each year the whole school looks forward to seeing who will be on the "got milk?" wall of fame!
Galena School has very strong milk consumption. In fact, a recent survey showed their consumption to be double the national average.
