2008 Campaign for Healthy Weight Promotions

  • Curves©
Our Curves© 2008 promotion is specifically aimed at women. Curves© will pair up with milk retailers to promote milk’s healthy weight message. POS at participating retail locations will offer women a free three-week trial membership at Curves®, simply by bringing in three milk caps. The campaign, which runs March 17 - April 17, 2008, will also offer customers a chance to win a two-year Curves® membership by entering any milk UPC each day at whymilk.com.

To participate, retailers should contact their local processors by February 25, 2008, to receive their POS materials. Click here for more information.

Mom As Chief Health Officer gives mom the chance to win the title she deserves. This promotion specifically targets moms, helping them make healthy decisions when it comes to their family’s milk consumption. POS materials directs mothers to enter their Milk UPC information at whymilk.com for a chance to win the title of “Chief Health Officer,” and to take home a $100,000 executive salary.

2008 Flavored Milk Promotions
  • Refuel With Chocolate Milk
For 2008, there are two exciting Flavored Milk promotions that retails can participate in to drive up flavored milk sales. Refuel With Chocolate Milk runs August 10 – September 13, 2008. Targeting athletes with in store POS material, Refuel With Chocolate Milk aims to educate consumers on chocolate milk’s recovery benefits for athletes.

Refuel With Chocolate Milk provides retailers with banners and clings that direct consumers online to enter their UPC codes online to win Adidas® merchandise, training advice and athlete featurettes. Retailers are also eligible to win cool Adidas® prizes, simply by signing up and featuring chocolate milk in their stores.

Contact your local processors before July 7, 2008 to receive POS materials. Click here for more information.

Hispanic POS kits are also available, featuring Dr. Aliza. In store POS materials will educate Hispanic moms of the benefits of choosing chocolate milk for their kids. Clings will direct consumers online for more tips and tools. Contact your local processor for more information.

  • Halloween 2008
Halloween has always provided retailers with an excuse to do exciting promotions and 2008 will be no exception. In the past, retailers who have used our Halloween POS materials to promote milk saw a 10% sales lifts versus those who didn’t. In 2008, we will pair with the “Where the Wild Things Are” movie for fun, eye-catching Halloween promotions. Retailers will be provided with banners and clings that will entice mothers to bring chocolate milk home to their children instead of candy.

Retailers who participate in these promotions are eligible to win an iPod© shuffle.

Contact your local processor by August 11, 2008 to participate. The campaign runs from October 1 - November 1, 2008. Click here for more information.

Hispanic POS kits are also available, celebrating the traditional Hispanic festival, “Dia de los Muertos” or “Day of the Dead”. Contact your local processor for more information.

  • Main Shelf POS
Static clings, many of which feature National Milk Mustache "got milk?" Campaign celebrities, remind consumers to buy more milk.

  • Outside POS
Whet consumers' appetite for milk before they even get through the door! Banners and door clings placed at the store entrance can help direct consumers to the dairy section to pick up more milk.

  • Aisle Violators
Placed near cereal, cookies or other complementary products, milk aisle violators pop out and remind consumers to buy milk while shopping for other items.
